AmazonSmile

AmazonSmile

Amazon has a program called AmazonSmile that non-profits (like Mad-City) can use to easily raise money. The program is very simple. People go to smile.amazon.com (instead of the normal www.amazon.com) and login with their existing Amazon account info and when they make an eligible purchase (and the vast majority of items are eligible, you can see this in the item listing) a small percentage of the sale goes towards the non-profit of their choice. Then each quarter, Amazon totals up how much money has been raised and sends it to the team via direct deposit.

You can use this link (smile.amazon.com) and it should take you AmazonSmile and already say that you want to support the Mad-City Ski Team. If it doesn’t, or you just type in the link yourself, near the top left of the screen it’ll either list what charity you’re supporting or give you an option to pick one. Choose to pick one and search for Mad-City Ski Team and select it. Then buy stuff at AmazonSmile and the team gets some money. It’s that easy.

You need to be sure to visit smile.amazon.com for Amazon to have your purchase count towards a donation. If you follow a link to a product or deal from another website or an email, just check the address bar to make sure it says smile.amazon.com, and if it doesn’t, you can easily replace the ‘www’ with ‘smile’ and refresh the page.
