Pictures from Throughout the Years
It has been a long and winding road to get the Mad-City Ski Team to where we are today. Mad-City began in its infancy all the way back in 1963. At that time it was known as the Capital City Ski Team. Throughout the years the Capital City Ski Team progressed and got better to the point where they were able to compete in regional and national show ski competitions.
From 1972 through 1975 Capital City won the State and Mid-West regional Show Ski Championship with the win in 1975 kicking off a string where the team won five straight national championships!!
In 1986 another ski team sprouted in Madison. The Silver Bullet Ski Team began performing ski shows in Prairie Du Chein and once a week here in Madison at Law Park. Eventually the Silver Bullet Ski Team became known as the Madison Water Ski Show Team and both teams flourished.
In 1995 both teams decided to merge into one and became known as the Mad-City Ski Team!!
Our team is run today as it always has been, by a group of dedicated and passionate skiers. A group who volunteer their time, talent, support and energy to produce the best and most enjoyable amateur water ski show in the country.
Our efforts have paid off well in recent memory as we claimed both the Wisconsin State and National Championships in 2004, 2006, 2007, 2008 and 2009.
